Giacom and Huntress recently hosted MSP partners at Events @ No 6 in the City of London for an exclusive launch event exploring how providers can build and scale managed security services without the cost and complexity of operating their own 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC).
The event followed Giacom’s addition of Huntress to its cybersecurity portfolio in July and gave partners the opportunity to explore its solutions in more detail through expert sessions, live demonstrations and one-to-one conversations with the Giacom and Huntress teams.
Carl Oliver, Head of Product and Cloud Practice at Giacom, said: “The opportunity for MSPs in cybersecurity is significant, but building and operating a 24/7 security operation takes considerable time, investment and specialist resource.” He continues:
“Huntress gives partners a faster, scalable route to delivering managed security services, with 24/7 monitoring, investigation and response without the need to build those capabilities themselves. It complements security technologies their customers already use, helping partners strengthen protection, get more value from existing investments and expand their managed security offering.”
A key focus at the event was Huntress’s ability to layer additional managed detection and response capabilities over existing security frameworks, particularly Microsoft environments, rather than requiring customers to rip out and replace technology they already use. Huntress can work alongside existing antivirus and security tools, including Microsoft Defender, enabling MSPs to strengthen customer protection while preserving existing technology investments.
A dedicated “Huntress & Microsoft: Better Together” session explored how Huntress Managed Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Managed Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) complement Microsoft security technologies and add 24/7 AI-centric monitoring, investigation and response to combat machine-speed threats.
This approach gives MSPs a route to develop more comprehensive managed security services without having to recruit, build and operate their own round-the-clock Security Operations Centre. It also allows partners to layer additional managed security services over technologies already deployed across their customer base, strengthening protection while creating new recurring revenue opportunities and increasing the value of existing customer relationships.
The partnership follows strong demand for Huntress from Giacom partners and gives them access to a provider that now manages more than five million endpoints and 15 million identities, protects more than 270,000 organisations and supports more than 10,000 partners globally.
Other sessions included “Wrecking Hackers with Huntress”, which examined how Huntress detects, investigates and responds to threats, alongside practical guidance for partners looking to introduce Huntress into their security portfolios.
Nick O’Donovan, Head of Sales, EMEA at Huntress, said:
“Giacom’s approach recognises that effective cybersecurity is built in layers, with the right combination of protection depending on each customer’s needs. That philosophy aligns very closely with how we see the market. Huntress complements the wider Giacom cybersecurity portfolio particularly well because it can strengthen what MSPs already have in place. That’s especially valuable in Microsoft environments, where partners can add human-led monitoring, investigation and response while getting more from their customers’ existing security investments.”
Huntress combines managed security technology with a 24/7 AI-centric SOC that investigates and responds to threats on behalf of partners and their customers. Its platform includes Managed EDR, Managed ITDR, Managed SIEM, Security Awareness Training, and Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM), helping MSPs extend security across endpoints, identities and users without having to build equivalent specialist capabilities internally.
Giacom partners can access Huntress through Giacom alongside its wider cybersecurity and Microsoft portfolio, with product trials, technical guidance, sales support and partner enablement available to help providers assess and introduce the service.
