Global cloud and connectivity specialist Sona Business, has officially entered the UK market after staging a successful launchpad event – highlighting how it’s primed for a major market assault.
Visitors from across the UK and beyond, including Dubai and the Netherlands, converged at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds to discover how the fast-growing wholesale service provider can help partners stand out in a congested market.
The initiative was hosted by Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Walter Perris, alongside Head of Partner Channel UK, John McKindland.
“Sona Business is one of the best kept channel secrets but it’s time to share our story and create a bang by bringing our dynamic white label services to a thriving UK market,” Walter explained.
He added how, as a leading supplier of ‘last mile’ connectivity and hosted UC solutions across Europe and Asia, Sona now provides high calibre network, datacentre, telecoms, IT and security solutions to the UK channel partner community from a base in Hull. Further international expansion is planned too.
Strong Presence
“We have been busy laying the foundations over the last few months but now is the time to hit the market hard,” Walter revealed.
Privately owned Sona was started by founders Walter and Sonia Harjani in 2012 and has global operations centred from Rotterdam – supported by data centres across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Sona’s wide-ranging portfolio includes hosted UC, SD-WAN and private cloud services. It already enjoys a strong market presence in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and Switzerland, supported by a 24/7/365 Global Network Operations Centre. The company is planning to further expand its global reach with data centre expansion into North America.
The audience heard how Sona’s white label cutting-edge solutions include a Link2Teams innovation, that enables direct routing and external calling for Microsoft Teams users from a third party service provider such as Sona.
John emphasised how the company is ‘partner centric’ and backed by industry leading support. “A deliverable roadmap offers the best IP solutions anywhere where we recognise if our partners grow we grow too.”
He explained: “We are not just another Openreach aggregator but leverage the power of alternative (Altnet) networks, featuring simple connectivity tariffs.”
Sona works in partnership with City Fibre, ITS Faster Britain, PXC, Neos Networks, Colt and Zen, as John added: “We offer best value, best quality and best use by working with the right vendor in the right geographical area. A diverse and targeted proposition that avoids competing against each other.”
Trust And Reliability
Sona’s extensive portfolio also encompasses Sona UC Cloud powered by Yeastar – a complete wholesale and accredited cloud telephony platform, based on a single licence-per-user with inclusive contact centre and Bring Your Own Carrier or Pay-As-You-Go options.
In addition, DNS security is another area where the company shines – instantly making a network compliant, with regulatory restrictions such as content filtering or security standards.
Furthermore, the Sona Alliance Partner Program offers attractive rebates and early access to new innovations and services, through a tiered partner programme. For global partners there’s also an opportunity for exclusive territory access with a top tier rebate across connectivity and hosted UC products.
Walter concluded: “Sona is on a mission to shake-up the market and forge a strong UK presence. This is based on high calibre connectivity, speed of service through a personal touch, and a reputation built on trust and reliability.
“We are a complete one-stop-shop on a global stage. Equally the short lines of communication with after-sales, helps us stand out from the competition. We are reachable, caring and professional; a very nimble and adaptable business with high levels of availability. We’re always there when customers need us to deliver faster, more cost effective and profitable services. The future is bright and we’re all looking forward to putting Sona firmly on the UK map.”
