Vodafone Business, the enterprise arm of VodafoneThree, has launched the UK’s first commercial 5G network slicing, delivering dedicated performance for enterprise.
5G+ Local Slicing gives businesses their own dedicated part of the mobile network, so they get fast and reliable performance in a specific area (up to 5km²), such as a stadium, campus, or construction site. It runs on VodafoneThree’s 5G network and is designed to meet the needs of organisations that rely on strong, consistent connectivity. Until now, businesses running critical operations on mobile networks have had to accept shared connectivity without assurance of performance. 5G+ Local Slicing removes that constraint and guarantees a private ‘fast lane’ reserved for that customer.
Vodafone Business has used the opportunity to launch Network Boost, which prioritises business data traffic to deliver dependable mobile connectivity for business customers in the UK’s busiest areas.

The growing use and integration of AI across businesses makes the need for assured connectivity more acute. Slices can be provisioned on a temporary or permanent basis, and additional slices can be provisioned to meet evolving customer needs.

Network Boost
Vodafone Business Network Boost is a nationwide service for organisations that need more reliable mobile connectivity in the UK’s busiest areas. By prioritising business data traffic where the network is under pressure, it reduces delays and keeps critical applications running, whether that’s processing orders, supporting field teams or accessing cloud tools.
Available to SMEs, large enterprises and partners, businesses can add Network Boost to their contract through their Vodafone Business sales representative or instore.
