IT services provider Principle Networks has achieved a sustainability milestone by funding the planting of 2,000 trees through its partnership with Carma, a B-Corp dedicated to transforming the environment and creating a sustainable future.
The partnership delivers meaningful social impact on two fronts, with Carma’s unique model providing employment opportunities for service leavers and veterans whilst supporting long-term climate action. Through its independent relationships with HighGround Charity and the Standing Tall Foundation, Carma helps repatriate veterans through horticultural activities such as tree planting, helping them on their resettlement journeys.
The partnership is one of many CSR initiatives that Principle Networks has recently co-ordinated, with the business actively supporting multiple social causes. This includes completing the Three Peaks Challenge to raise over £2,500 for Parkinson’s UK back in June.
Commenting on the partnership, Alex Steer, Co-CEO of Principle Networks, said:
“Veteran repatriation and climate action are two social causes we are proud to be supporting through our valued partnership with Carma. The 2,000 trees planted to date is only the beginning as we look to scale our future investment to boost reforestation efforts and help more veterans reintegrate back into civilian life. Our work with Carma enables us to deliver positive social outcomes to local communities and we are honoured to be one of their commercial partners.”
The partnership with Carma comes off the back of Principle Networks’ Client Director Dan Huckle representing the business at the Charity Boxing Nights event in Manchester, which took place on 4th October at Hilton Manchester Deansgate. By taking part in this event, Dan raised £1,500 for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital in Manchester and is another example of Principle Networks’ commitment to charitable endeavours.
“We want to be recognised beyond our technical expertise and to deliver tangible contributions to society”, Alex continues, “By aligning with multiple charities and integrating CSR and ESG into our commercial activities, we can stay true to our mission of being a principled business.”
