Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has launched a UK-specific instance of HPE Aruba Networking Central, giving local businesses access to advanced network management capabilities. Designed to address strong customer demand for greater sovereignty, the UK instance means that in addition to user and application data, the telemetry data underpinning operations and optimisation of networks can be stored in the UK as well.
The solution provides a single, unified platform with a wide set of advanced network management capabilities for wired and wireless networks, with the option to host telemetry data on-premises or in a public or private cloud.
“The UK has a strong push for data sovereignty, with businesses wanting to keep their data in the UK and local to their businesses, to meet regulatory and privacy requirements,” states Mark Weeks, Director, HPE Networking, UK & Ireland.
“Customers have always been able to choose where to store their application and user data. The UK instance of HPE Aruba Networking Central provides them with critical flexibility and the option to host telemetry data on UK soil as well. Simultaneously, customers can still benefit from the global AI-native insights derived from our vast telemetry data lake, getting the best of both worlds: local control and global intelligence.”
With rising demand for data sovereignty and regulatory compliance across sectors such as finance, government, and education, HPE is offering flexible hosting options for the UK market:
● Public cloud via HPE GreenLake cloud, with global points of presence to ensure low-latency performance
● Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) options for enhanced data-at-rest controls, deployable in HPE or customer-owned environments in the UK for customers who demand the agility of cloud with specific data security, data control or regulatory requirements
● On-premises solutions, that can operate while being disconnected from the cloud, including a FIPS 140-2 certified appliance for government-grade security
For UK businesses operating globally, HPE Aruba Networking Central uses AI to analyse global telemetry data for both heterogenous network environments and critical IT applications with enhanced IT monitoring solutions, while anonymising local information. This delivers actionable insights into areas such as device connectivity, Wi-Fi performance, network health and security, helping organisations optimise operations using a global data pool while maintaining privacy.
These capabilities also enable UK businesses to meet the stringent conditions of larger and highly regulated organisations, which are increasingly prioritising data sovereignty, requiring regional and local presence for mission-critical IT solutions. This enables them to compete for new opportunities and service existing customers’ needs.
