  • Nuvias UC completes Hardware sale to focus on Cloud Communications Platforms and Services
  • Software and Services now fall under the Konekt brand. The hardware business retains the Nuvias UC brand
  • Chimoindes is CEO of Konekt

Nuvias UC has announced the sale of its hardware business to Northamber for £7.1 million. it was felt that Northamber is a natural strategic fit for the hardware business, bringing a strong heritage, proven AV and UC expertise, and a clear focus on continued investment in the intelligent workplace. All hardware vendors, associated hardware services, and the hardware team from Nuvias UC’s UK business was included in the sale. The hardware business in Europe is not currently part of the sale.

With the sale complete, all software and service operations now come together under the Konekt brand, enabling accelerated investment in its cloud platform strategy. Konekt already delivers £40m in GII revenue, serves more than 400 customers across Europe, and is reported to be growing at more than 25% year on year.

The cloud communications sector is experiencing double-digit year-on-year growth, creating substantial opportunities for channel partners. According to Mordor Intelligence, the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) market is projected to reach over $175 billion by 2030 (25.4%) CAGR. Gartner forecasts worldwide public cloud end-user spending to reach over $723 billion in 2025, with all cloud segments expected to deliver double-digit growth. The move enables Konekt to redirect resources toward its core software platform and services delivery model while ensuring the hardware business thrives with Northamber, a strategic and highly respected buyer in the AV and UC ecosystem.

Nuvias UC will be committed to ensuring the hardware business succeeds under Northamber while Konekt continues its evolution as the dedicated distribution partner for cloud communications platforms, associated software, and services that enable the channel. Konekt will fully exit hardware across Europe before the end of the financial year. This will be managed in a coordinated manner to ensure continuity for partners and vendors throughout the transition. Konekt will no longer provide hardware, except where it forms part of a project requirement for its channel partners. Konekt will partner with Northamber to provide this where needed.

Joel Chimoindes, CEO of Konekt, comments:

For Konekt and our partners, this is a moment to move boldly. We’re not just expanding our portfolio, we’re sharpening our focus, investing in technical depth, and building the kind of service ecosystem that helps partners win more, deliver faster, and grow sustainably.
