Nimans Live 2025: Opportunities in the Sector are Growing

Nimans Live 2025 took place recently, showcasing the best of what Nimans and a range of partner organisations has to offer, as well as offering insights into the market now and in the future.

The iconic surrounds of Villa Park, the historic home of Aston Villa FC, provided a suitably grand backdrop for Nimans Live 2025 on May 7, where leading names and selected customers came together to celebrate the best in technology.

This, the second Nimans Live event, showcased some of the best of the technology that Nimans and a select band of companies have to offer to a select band of customers.

Richard Bovingdon, Sales Director at Nimans, opened the event, giving a brief introduction to the company and the technology solutions on offer. He emphasised that while there have been challenges in the market over the past year, the opportunities in the sector are growing, especially with the developments in technology.

He added that, with the range of technology available, partners have the chance to make sales and have an ongoing relationship with customers. As he concluded – the aim should be to “make a customer, not a sale.”

Keynotes

The morning keynote was delivered by Nicky Chapman, Microsoft DPS Teams Rooms and Devices lead for UK & Ireland and Benelux. Nicky spoke about accelerating the future, with AI-driven collaboration in Microsoft Teams Rooms. Things like using Copilot in Teams meetings to make action items clearer were just one example.

She also mentioned that it isn’t just about using Teams in hybrid workspaces but also the office – and how it can help encourage people back to the office.

The afternoon keynote was delivered by Stock in the Channel Market Analyst Wickus Bester, who talked about the platform and the market data it can generate and the importance of that and how it can be used to capture sales trends.

By analysing the data, which can be set to go into great depth on specific products, sales trends can be revealed that otherwise might not be, meaning that sellers can tweak their product mix to deliver the best chance of increasing sales.

Vendor Presentations

There then followed a series of informative vendor presentations from those exhibiting at the event, which included DrayTek, Epos, Ilyama, Intermedia, Jabra, Mitel, netAlly, Simplified UC powered by Boom, TP-Link, Yealink and Yeastar.

The presentations showcased some of their latest products and the advantages of them, but also there were distinct trends that appeared in the various presentations.

AI was a topic that continually cropped up throughout the day, whether in presentations or talking to those companies exhibiting. The technology is developing rapidly and technology providers are harnessing it in their products now – and this is only going to grow as AI develops. While AI has been much hyped in the past couple of years, the business benefits are becoming increasingly clear, which must be emphasised to customers.

Hybrid working was another key trend – with the expectation that it will continue to be prevalent, despite some companies encouraging employees to return to the office – and that hybrid workers need equipment that allows them to be as effective at home as in the office.

With Nimans Live busy throughout the day, it has been warmly received by those who attended.

Richard said: “Nimans Live 2025 was a great success, bringing together partners and customers with overwhelmingly positive feedback. We’ve already had requests for the next event and seen immediate opportunities from customers looking to diversify their product offering.”

Richard Dodd from Draytek added: “The Nimans Live event was a real highlight for us. It was a great opportunity to connect with resellers in person, catch up with some of our loyal customers, and showcase DrayTek’s latest solutions.”

The feedback from customers has been positive too. One Nimans customer said: “Overall, the day was excellent. I had some great conversations with a lot of the brands who attended, and the talks throughout the event were genuinely engaging and interesting.”
