Snom Technology recently announced CEO and Managing Director, Gernot Sagl, stepped down on 31 March 2025, and the subsequent promotion of Fabio Albanini to Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations for EMEA and APAC
Sagl’s announcement comes after a nine-year tenure, where he a transformation phase for Snom in EMEA and APAC, following its acquisition by VTech Group in 2016, the same year he joined as CEO. This helped Snom become a more recognised brand in the telecommunications industry.
Albanini has been a part of Snom since 2009. He joined as a Sales Channel Manager before rising through the ranks to Head of Sales South Europe and UK, Head of International Sales EMEA & APAC and then VP International Sales EMEA & APAC before being promoted to his current role.
In his new role, he will take on further responsibilities, overseeing Snom’s sales, marketing, and operations in EMEA and APAC.

Albanini’s promotion will now see him directly report to Hillson Cheung, President of Telecommunication Products at VTech.
“Fabio has demonstrated exceptional leadership and possesses a deep understanding of our business and industry,”
said Cheung.
“We are confident that he will continue to drive the growth of the Snom brand and further strengthen our market position in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and APAC.”
