Zoom extends Enterprise Calling to the Native Dialer

Mobile work is outpacing the systems designed to support it. Employees take business calls from job sites, hospital corridors, and trains, but when those conversations happen outside the enterprise phone system, beyond admin visibility, compliance, and follow-through tracking, it can cause problems.

Today, Zoom announced the launch of Zoom Phone Mobile in the UK, a new capability that helps solve those problems by bringing enterprise-grade calling directly into employees’ devices’ native mobile dialers. With Zoom Phone Mobile, organisations can unify mobile and office communications on one platform, capturing mobile conversations within Zoom’s system of action and supporting organisational security and compliance.

The gap: Mobile conversations without follow-through

Mobile conversations sometimes involve and create work, but mobile conversations rarely connect to what happens next.

Chris Moss, GM of Zoom Phone at Zoom, has commented:

“The reality of modern work is that it happens everywhere — but until now, enterprise systems haven’t been able to keep up. With Zoom Phone Mobile, we’re bringing mobile conversations into Zoom’s system of action. That means every call —no matter where it happens—can meet customers’ security, compliance, and use case requirements.”

No new app required

Zoom Phone Mobile closes that gap by extending Zoom Phone’s capabilities directly into the mobile phone’s native dialer, without requiring a new app, mobile data connection, or behaviour change.

With Zoom Phone Mobile:

• Business calls take place on the cellular network for consistent, carrier-grade reliability
• Employees use a single business identity across mobile and office devices
• IT teams centrally manage numbers, policies, and compliance through the Zoom Phone admin portal
• Conversations are captured and connected to next steps through Zoom AI Companion

From conversation to completion

Zoom Phone Mobile brings mobile communication into Zoom’s broader system of action where they enable work to be completed.

Built-in capabilities include:
• One business number — across mobile, desktop, and desk phone
• Centralised compliance support for voice and SMS — capture and archive mobile interactions within policy.
• AI-powered summaries and next steps with Zoom AI Companion which helps turn conversations into follow-through.
• No behaviour change required: employees use the native dialer they already know.

Unlike app-based solutions, Zoom Phone Mobile works within the native dialer, removing friction so every conversation can contribute to outcomes.

As work becomes more mobile and AI becomes part of everyday conversations, the gap between where work happens and where it gets completed is growing. By bringing mobile calls placed from the native dialer into Zoom’s system of action, Zoom Phone Mobile enables conversations happening anywhere to move work forward everywhere, securely, reliably, and without added complexity.

Zoom Phone Mobile is available now in the UK, with U.S. availability planned for later in 2026.

Compatible devices must be carrier unlocked.
