Apex Computing Services achieves Platinum Accreditation from Investors in People.
Apex Computing Services provides IT support to organisations across Greater Manchester, and the wider North West, and the company has recently been awarded Platinum accreditation from Investors in People. Investors in People is an independent organisation that assesses how well companies lead, support and develop their employees, awarding accreditations to those that meet recognised standards for workplace excellence.
The Platinum accreditation recognises Apex’s continued commitment to building a people-first culture, investing in employee development and creating an environment where team members feel supported, trusted and able to grow.
Apex Computing Services’ vision is to be the leading IT solutions provider in the North, by being a business that customers want to partner with, and where its team feel supported and inspired. The company’s five core values:
- Customer Focused
- Reliable
- Act With Integrity
- Always a Team, and
- Enable Growth
now play a central role in recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, one-to-ones, recognition and decision-making.
Since 2023, the business has created 29 development opportunities through internal progression, apprenticeships, and secondments. Apex has also protected time for self-development, invested in accreditations, improved wellbeing support and introduced a more structured approach to personal development.
Employee feedback played an important role in the assessment, with 92% of Apex team members saying they are proud to work for the company and 93% saying they would recommend Apex as a great place to work.
Chris Gorman, CEO at Apex Computing Services has proudly said, “Achieving Platinum is something we are incredible proud of because it is recognition of the culture we have built together. It shows that putting people first isn’t just something we talk about – it’s how we operate every day.” He continues:
“Our people are the business. Technology changes constantly, but it is the knowledge, commitment and relationship our team builds with clients that make the difference. By investing in development, wellbeing and opportunities to progress, we are investing in better outcomes for our clients and a stronger future for Apex. What I am most proud of is how people genuinely support one another. There is a real willingness to collaborate, share knowledge and step in to help when it is needed. We have built a culture where people are trusted, encouraged to grow and celebrated for their successes.”
Daniel Shone – Managing Director – added:
“Achieving Platinum is not the finish line. It is confirmation that we are moving in the right direction and a challenge to keep raising the bar. As Apex continues to grow, we will stay focused on developing our people, strengthening leadership, supporting wellbeing, creating opportunity from within and making sure our team grows with the business. This achievement belongs to everyone at Apex. We are incredibly proud of what we have built together and even more excited about what comes next.”
