Joe McStravick Joins 8×8 as VP EMEA Sales

8×8, Inc. has announced Joe McStravick as the new Vice President of EMEA Sales. Answering directly to Chief Revenue Officer Lisa Martin, McStravick will draw on his background of senior EMEA roles including Head of Channel and Strategic Alliances at Zoom, Managing Director at BlueJeans, and Head of Professional Services at BT Global, to ensure the 8×8 Platform for CX is meeting the needs of customers looking to improve their customer experience through enhanced and improved engagement. 8×8’s integrated Platform for CX combines Contact Center, Unified Communication, and CPaaS APIs

“Joe’s background and pedigree of success speak for themselves. We’re gaining a true heavyweight here who can influence every aspect of our EMEA sales operations,” said Lisa Martin, Chief Revenue Officer at 8×8, Inc. “What really stood out was that he understands the different needs of different verticals and territories, and we had a considerable conversation around how in France, regulatory compliance and data sovereignty remain key concerns, while in the UK and Ireland, businesses are prioritising cost optimisation alongside digital transformation.”

Chris Angus, Vice President, EMEA, will now oversee sales of CPaaS APIs across EMEA and the US, reporting directly to Lisa Martin, reflecting the growing importance of 8×8’s integrated contact center, unified communication, and CPaaS APIs platform for organisations looking to enhance their customer experience at the global level. 

“These changes reflect the changing nature of sales and how successful companies go to market,” said Lisa Martin. “Angus has been a powerhouse and vital part of our success in the past so I’m excited to see what he achieves with CPaaS as the team aligns closer to sales.”

The appointments follow the recent unveiling of the next evolution of the 8×8 brand, a key milestone in the Company’s journey toward a more customer-centric future. Additionally, 8×8 recently announced the 8×8 Platform for CX, empowering CX and IT leaders with AI-powered performance and insights.
