Yesterday, Allison Kirkby, Chief Executive at BT Group, announced that BT’s Chief People and Culture Officer, Alison Wilcox, will return to her portfolio career and her position will subsequently be filled by Uzair Qadeer. She commented on social media:
“Alison Wilcox, our much loved Chief People & Culture Officer, will return to her portfolio career, at the end of the year, at the same time as Uzair Qadeer joins us from the BBC, where he is currently Group Chief People Officer. We are all excited and delighted to welcome Uzair to the BT family, as we prepare for the baton to be passed from the brilliant Alison.”
Alison Wilcox, current Chief People and Culture Officer at BT Group has commented:
“A little over a year ago, I agreed with Allison Kirkby that I would return to BT to lead the People & Culture team through an important period of change. It’s been a wonderful year, and I’m so proud of what we have achieved, as we embed a new set of behaviours, bring everyone together as One BT and shape the company’s culture for the next phase of its transformation. We always knew it would be short and sweet, and so I’m happy to announce that at the end of this year I will hand over to Uzair Qadeer. Until then, it’s business as usual, as we continue to create a better BT – for all of us.”
