LED Studio Ltd, a prominent UK-based manufacturer of commercial LED screens, has filed for administration as of late April 2026, marking a restructuring phase after 16 years. Founded in 2010, the company moved into a new Global HQ and large showroom in Basingstoke in 2025.
While the original UK entity is insolvent, the company’s office, experience center, and global operations continue to run, with CEO and Founder Robert Bint reportedly in the press saying this was a necessary move for board-level changes and further growth.
Insolvency specialists Andrew Watling and Michael Ian Field of Opus Restructuring LLP have been appointed as administrators to act on behalf of the business.
The scope of the restructuring process applies to the original UK entity (LED Studio Ltd). From an operational perpective the company is rebranding and/or restructuring, with communications stating that the office, experience center, and global entities continue to operate as normal.
The company is known for manufacturing high-end LED displays for commercial projects, retail spaces, and public areas, with a focus on sustainable, energy-efficient designs.
Despite the administration status of LED Studio Ltd, the comapny recently partnered with Cree LED in March 2026 for new technology, suggesting an intention to continue trading.
In a social media post , Bint has said:
“It is only the original entity that has gone into an administration restructuring process. There was a change at board level that was needed, as many will know, and this very much enables that. The office, experience centre and all other global entities remain the same, as are the innovative products and our incredible team. Change for further growth was very much needed. LED Studio has operations in the US and in Europe, as well as in the UK. It also works closely with manufacturer VOD Visual in China.
In similar timings to the administration announcement on Friday, Michiel Hettinga announced at a similar time on social media:
“I am very excited to start a new role as CEO of the LED Studio Europe GmbH! It is a privilege to work with this strong team and establish The LED Studio as the premier address for LED Displays in Europe!”
