Every year, the world’s top technology innovators and industry leaders gather in Barcelona for MWC (previously Mobile World Congress). This exciting event has, over the years, become the world’s leading showcase for the technologies shaping the future of communication.
This year, MWC is taking place from 2 to 5 March 2026 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. One of the exhibitors is Lenovo, who are showcasing their innovation in Lenovo devices for 2026, and also showcasing some conceptual ideas for future devices that are in the “idea generation” phase.
Eric Yu, Senior Vice President of SMB Segment and Commercial Product Center, Intelligent Devices Group, at Lenovo, has commented:
“As AI moves from experimentation to everyday business reality, organizations need technology they can trust, scale, and sustain. At MWC 2026, Lenovo is showing how we are translating AI innovation into practical business computing, from modular concepts and flexible form factors to the ThinkPad platforms enterprises rely on every day. By combining AI-ready devices with strong repairability, platform choice, and enterprise-grade security and services, we are helping customers adopt AI with confidence, control, and long-term value.”
MWC 2026 for Lenovo highlights include:
Proofs of Concepts
Lenovo’s concepts at MWC include ThinkBook™ Modular AI PC Concept, a selectively modular AI PC concept exploring adaptive multi-mode form factors, detachable displays and keyboards, and modular I/O ports designed to support flexible workflows and extended device lifecycles.
Built for professionals who move between work modes throughout the day, the concept is centered on the idea of “carry small, use big,” enabling a single device to support productivity, collaboration, and content consumption across different scenarios. Key modular elements include a detachable Bluetooth® keyboard, secondary display modules, and interchangeable IO ports including USB Type-A, USB Type-C® and HDMI.
Also displaying as an idea for the future is the Lenovo AI Workmate Concept that examines how human-centric, privacy-conscious AI can support workflows through natural interaction and contextual assistance.

Powered by the Snapdragon® 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, ThinkTab X11 delivers reliable performance, efficient power consumption, and integrated connectivity for always-on frontline workflows. The device is tested to MIL-STD-810H standards and features IP68-rated durability (which all stand up if the device is treated in the way it is intended to be used), enabling operation in harsh conditions, while a bright display with glove and wet-touch support ensures usability on job sites and in outdoor environments, such as the construction or hospitality sector.
